General rules

Time of flight - 2hrs - transport time to airport - time to transport -10 mins. Have an alarm set -10, -20 mins from that time.

Hotels

The main hotel is open when registration is open and done through the con. Often at a discounted or negotiated rates. Two common ways this works is a first come first serve and a lottery.

First come first serve

As name suggests it is the person who registers first with the room option that gets it. This is becoming less common as often IT falls over and causes issues as well as the additional stress it causes attendees.

Lottery

This is the more common way where registration for the con and hotel will be open for a period (1 - 2 weeks). This will then close (and open up later for people not wanting to stay at the main hotel(s)) and they will chose who gets their choice through a random computer selection. This is easier then having to fill out forms quickly but often the lottery takes a bit of time to be announced.

Suites

Suites are the largest rooms hotels offer and are often done through a lottery to allow people who want to host parties a fair chance to get them.
